Product Description
This ASIAIR high gain antenna extension kit allows you to mount your ASIAIR's antenna in a better location on your imaging rig. If you have your ASIAIR mounted directly to your mount, as is the case with many mounts including the ZWO AM5 mount, the antenna can be obstructed by both the mount or telescope depending on where the mount is pointing. By having an extension cable, you can mount the antenna in a location high on your rig and avoid those obstructions.
The high gain WIFI antenna included in this kit also provides increased performance over the stock antennas included with the ASIAIR mini or ASIAIR Plus controllers. They are also convenient to use as a back-up antenna, especially useful when traveling as these antennas are small and easy to lose. From our testing, this antenna provides both increased range and download speeds over the ASIAIR stock WIFI antenna.
