Resistor 20k, 5W Bleeder
These resistors are used across the DC bus capacitors in the Reference Design 1.0 DRSSTC system. With a 340VDC initial charge across the double stack of capacitors (170VDC per capacitor), the safety bleed time to less than 30VDC is less than 30 seconds. At 170VDC, the resistor will dissipate 1.5 watts.
Not recommended for DC bus voltages greater than 340VDC total (170VDC per capacitor) as the power dissipation would be too great across the resistor.
