Product Description
The Mitsubishi CM300DY-24H IGBT is a very popular IGBT used for medium to high power DRSSTC Tesla Coils. Each one of these IGBT modules contains two 1200V IGBTS in a half-bridge configuration. They can be used by themselves for a half-bridge or two of them together for a full-bridge configuration. Being 1200V IGBTs, they work well with a 240VAC input bus with a voltage doubler and when configured as a full-bridge can produce a total output swing of nearly 1400V (+680V/-680V)!
In a 240VAC input powered full-bridge configuration, such as our Reference Design 2.0 DRSSTC Tesla Coil, they can produce output arcs in excess of 12 feet in length.
