Product Description
This fiber optic transmitter kit is most commonly use for laboratory and testing applications. Whenever one needs passive electrical to fiber optic conversion, look no further. Each board accepts a 3V to 24V input electrical signal via a female BNC connector and converts that signal to a current that drives either a Broadcom HFBR1412T or Industrial Fiberoptics IF-E96E fiber optic transmitter.
Onboard current limiting resistors allow the end user to specify the exact current required for their particular application as well as scale the current per the input voltage. These converters will handle a minimum of 3V input and a maximum of 24V - the maximum voltage of course being limited to the power being dissipated in the current limiting resistors. Protection diodes across each fiber optic transmitter protect the fiber optics from reverse voltage.
These converters are available as both a kit (unassembled) and fully assembled.
